Ingredients

  • 150g milk chocolate, broken up
  • 150g white chocolate, broken up
  • 1 x 175g pack Taste the Difference 7 Belgian waffles
To decorate
  • sugar sprinkles*
  • milk chocolate buttons
  • white chocolate buttons
  • black edible cake decoration pen (we used Cake Décor)
  • wooden lollipop sticks

Step by step

  1. 1. Melt the two types of chocolate in separate heatproof bowls over a pan of gently simmering water.
  2. 2. Insert a lollipop stick in the base of each waffle and line two baking trays or plates with baking paper.
  3. FOR DIPPED WAFFLES
Half-dip waffles into melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off. Drizzle with the contrasting colour of chocolate then scatter with sprinkles and place on the lined trays. Chill to set.
  4. FOR PANDA FACES
Thickly spread one side of a waffle with white chocolate, then tap off any excess. Add two milk chocolate buttons as ears then chill until set. Pipe on melted milk chocolate in slightly lopsided circles for panda eyes, and a mouth. Chill briefly to set, then pipe a dot of white chocolate to complete the eyes. Leave to set fully.
  5. FOR BROWN BEAR FACES
Spread one side of a waffle with milk chocolate, then tap off any excess. Add two milk chocolate buttons as ears and one white button to create the nose base. Chill to set then use a black icing pen to finish off the nose and add eyes.

*Check your sugar sprinkles are vegetarian, if required.
