Rum and raisin flip

A luscious dessert cocktail made with dark rum, sherry and cream. Perfect for festive parties or as an indulgent nightcap

Ingredients

  • 30ml dark rum
  • 30ml Pedro Ximénez sherry
  • 60ml double cream
  • 1 medium egg
  • freshly grated nutmeg, to garnish

Step by step

  1. Pour the dark rum, sherry and cream into a cocktail shaker. Crack in the egg. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds, then add ice and shake again to chill. Strain into a chilled coupe glass and grate over a little nutmeg to serve (don’t skip the nutmeg – it’s essential).
