Ingredients
- 125g softened salted butter
- zest of 1 satsuma or ½ orange, plus 1 tbsp juice
- zest of ½ lemon
- ½ tsp mixed spice
- a pinch ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp mixed dried fruit (or 1 tbsp sultanas, 1 tbsp raisins, 1 tbsp mixed peel)
- 2 tsp golden syrup

Get ahead
Lasts for 1 week in the fridge, covered.
- Add the ingredients to a small food processor, and pulse until evenly distributed. Scrape into a bowl. Serve on toast, muffins or bagels for hot cross bun flavourings.
